Autism as a problem of (not) understanding, by Walter Solomon, (Published on 23 Aug 2012) (15 mins)
Walter Solomon discusses the story of his son Robert, the motivation behind his new book Autism and Understanding: The Waldon Approach to Child Development and how to get started using the Waldon Approach.
This video demonstrates that the Waldon Approach is appropriate at any age and shows how important it is to work at the student's developmental age and not their chronological age. It is interesting that this 30 year old man can enjoy tasks which to the outside observer would be more appropriate for a child of below school age. This of itself tells you something about the young man's level of understanding. For further information see autismandunderstanding.com
